The aim of the Cultural Affairs Division is to review, monitor and administer the national policies, programmes and projects relative to culture. Its mission is to promote the development, preservation, affirmation and celebration of the cultural life of the Bahamian community, and to stimulate cultural and creative expressions at all levels of society. This is done through research and the holding of festivals, workshops, and the encouragement of the performing and visual arts. The Cultural Affairs Division is headed by a director, Dr. Linda Moxey-Brown.
