These awards are targeted to those organisations, who have distinguished themselves for excellence in service to the nation’s youth.  These organisations would have distinguished themselves by going above and beyond the call. Nominations will be received from each Family Island, however a final decision will be made by a select committee on the winners for all the islands with the exception of New Providence, Grand Bahama and Abaco.  These islands will be responsible for selecting the winners from their respective island.  These awards are bestowed by the government on an annual basis.  All nominees must be submitted to the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Division of Youth for consideration.


Eligibility 

The youth organisation must be registered with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Department of Youth.

Process 
  1. The Department of Youth will send out nomination forms to youth organisations in August of the current year.
  2. Family Island organisations may collect forms from the Family Island administrator/Island coordinator.  
  3. The youth organisations must ensure that they meet the criteria outlined in the guidelines governing the nomination of candidates for the National Youth Recognition Awards.
  4. Once nominations are submitted, the Department of Youth will verify the information that was submitted.  
  5. Family Island organisations may submit nominee via the Family Island Administrator/Island Coordinator.  
  6. Once final determination has been made The Department of Youth will inform the organisation in writing.
  7. Nominees are informed of their selection by September of the current year.
