About the Compliance Commission
The Compliance Commission commenced its operation on 1st January, 2001. It is an independent statutory body established as the Anti-Money Laundering Regulatory Authority for non-traditional financial institutions, for example law firms, accounting firms, real estate brokers, credit unions, etc. Although it is an independent agency, the Compliance Commission falls within the responsibility of the Minister of Finance.
