The registration of Non-Profit Organisations (“NPOs”) in compliance with the Non-Profit Organisations Act, 2019 as amended.

Process 
  1. Complete registration form
  2. E-mail completed form along with supporting documents to nporganisations@bahamas.gov.bs
Application Form(s) 
Supporting Documents 
  1. Declaration of purposes of the NPO;
  2. Proof of the identity of the Controller and other members of the NPO;
  3. Copies of particulars of the organisational documents; and
  4. Evidence of the board structure.
Turn-around time 
Once the requirements of the legislation are satisfied, a Certificate of Registration may be issued within 7 days.

  1. Application for registration
    1.  for newly formed NPOs - $100.00
    2. for existing NPOs - NIL
  2. Application for renewal of registration - $50.00
  3. Certificate of Good Standing - $50.00
