This licence authorizes the processing of seafood on-board a commercial vessel. Refer to The Seafood Processing and Inspection Regulations, 2002 -Section 15 a

Eligibility

Holders of commercial fishing licences who wish to process seafood (stone crab) on-board a commercial vessel.

Process

For a new licence:

Complete and submit relevant application form.
Submit pre-requisite documentation.
Undergo buying station inspection by The Department of Marine Resources.
Pay relevant fee upon approval.

Note: For a renewal licence, the applicant must indicate and submit any revised documentation if there have been changes to their previously submitted documents or layout of their vessels.

Water distribution map.

Valid health certificate.

Turn-around time

Three days, once application and pre-requisite documents are complete, and the facility meets the documented standards.

Deadline

The licence is valid for one year (Jan 1st to December 31st)
