The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, through the Department of Sports, gives annual and one-time grants to persons and organisations that are registered with the Ministry of Youth Sports and Culture, to assist with the development of sport.  Interested parties may make requests with the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture, Department of Sports.


Eligibility 

Applicants must be Bahamian citizens or residents.

Process 
  1. Forms may be collected at the Department of Sports.
  2. The applicant must fill out and submit the application form, along with supporting documents, to the Department of Sports.  
  3. The Department of Sports will then acknowledge receipt of the application for a sports grant.
  4. The Ministry will review the application to ensure that the applicant is compliant with sport policy.   
  5. Applicants will be informed of approval or non-approval in writing.  
  6. Once the grant is approved, the applicant must go to the Department of Sports with national photo identification to collect the cheque.
