Adopt a GIS Youth Club today! The Bahamas National Geographic Information Systems (BNGIS) Centre continues in its drive to invest in our youth and improve Geographic Information Systems literacy in the school system. The GIS Youth Club Program was implemented to allow students and teachers to:
- Access GIS and use the technology to learn about geography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS).
- Practice problem solving/analytical skills; acquire skills such as communications and team-work/interpersonal skills.
This is all targeted toward exposing students to modern geo technologies for research and planning, and to build a GIS student community in the school system.
Any interested persons or entities can adopt a GIS Youth Club.
- Contact the BNGISC to express interest.
- Fill out and submit sponsorship form.
