As a part of its public awareness strategy, The Bahamas National Geographic Information Systems (BNGIS) Centre hosts GIS User Conferences, GIS Day Celebrations and GIS School Competitions annually. These events are designed to showcase the application of GIS and associated geo technologies in the workplace and in the classroom. The BNGIS Centre usually invites GIS vendors to display GIS products and services. General information about these conferences are usually placed in the press to sensitise the public as well as posted here on the BNGIS Centre’s website.
Any interested persons or entities can attend unless otherwise stated.
