This course is to provide security knowledge for all other facility personnel who do not have security duties. All other facility personnel, including contractors, whether part-time, full-time, temporary, or permanent, must have knowledge of, through training or equivalent job experience.

The training of all personnel is a requirement of the ISPS Code and all employees need to be aware of basic security considerations, not only for their personal safety, but that of others and the vessel or facility.


Eligibility 

Anyone, (excluding visitors) with reason to visit the facility frequently.

Process 
  1. Company would contact the port to conduct the seminar so that their employees can acquire the certification. Applicants must provide all necessary supporting documents listed below.
  2. Seminars are organised by the Port and participants are invited to attend.
  3. Seminars are conducted at:

  1. Upon successful completion of the seminar, the certificate is issued
  2. Staff is required to do refresher courses every 18 months to maintain their certification.
