Persons who are interested in extending the life of produce, fruits, crops and those interested in preservation of foods can access training on this from the Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC). This type of training provides knowledge on different types of food processing to trainees.


Eligibility 

Interested persons must be Bahamian nationals or have permanent resident status here in The Bahamas.

Process 
  1. Visit the offices of the Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation (BAIC).
  2. Speak to someone in the Food Processing department to obtain information on the upcoming food processing training.
  3. Fill out and submit the appropriate registration form.
  4. Attend sessions at the prescribed times.

Registration form, (the form can be collected at the offices of the BAIC).

Supporting Documents 

Passport (Proof of Bahamian nationality or permanent resident status).

This varies from minutes to days, depending on the nature of the training.

Related Fee(s) 

There is a BS$100.00 fee for each training programme, however the consultation is at no cost.
