NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Hon. Philip Davis spoke to the audience of the Global Citizen Now 2024 Summit in New York, Thursday, May 2, emphasizing that The Bahamas is under serious climate change threat as a very low-lying ocean state, which could propel Bahamians to become "climate refugees" or yield to a "watery grave" if the global warming trajectory continues.  Also on the panel was the president of Botswana HE Mokgweetsi Masisi, whose country is at risk for increasing aridity with decreasing rainfall.  Both leaders strongly advocated for their nations on the Global Citizen Now 2024 forum.
